Historia de Familia is a new wine from 4th generation vintner Laura Catena and is available only in magnums. This special wine represents the history of Laura and her husband's ancestors.
Dark licorice, violet and blueberry essence on the nose. Full-bodied and excellent tannins & texture. Well-defined with driven acidity, which is well-complimented with vivid blue fruit.
Pairs well with hearty entrees and grilled meats. Try with grilled flank steak, roasted venison or oven roasted aubergines.
This is so inky on the nose with combining elements of dark licorice, too. But there is also a very intense pressed violet character and blueberry essence. Full-bodied and grainy in terms of tannin texture and well-defined by the driven acidity, which is well-complemented with vivid blue fruit.James Suckling April 2018
