Beso de Dante

Blackberry, cassis and minerally aromas fill out the nose on this blend of Malbec and Cabernet. Clamping tannins are a touch hard, while this tastes of oak spice, wild berry fruits and herbs. An oak-rich finish comes with mildly astringent tannins. Decant if drinking now. Wine Enthusiast July 2020

The 2017 Beso de Dante is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Malbec and 10% Cabernet Franc from Vista Flores and Altamira in the Valle de Uco. The varieties are very nicely integrated, classical and polished with some Cabernet flavors and tannins. 18,000 bottles. The Wine Advocate October 2019

Bright, dark ruby-red; not quite as dark as the Old Vine Malbec. More complex but reticent on the nose, offering aromas of blackberry, cassis, violet, dark chocolate and herbs. Plush, fine-grained and surprisingly dry and classic; juicier and less thick and sweet than the Old Vine Malbec. This broad, laid-back blend displays an obvious Cabernet Sauvignon herbacity that gives it another dimension. Finishes with firm tannins and sneaky persistence. Vinous September 2019
