6th generation Napa farmer Haley Wight proves that good quality wine starts in the farm with this refined Cab.
Notes of red cherry, brambleberry and licorice, with a layer cake of tannin to hold the finish.
Pairs well with hard aged cheeses, spicy lamb stew or a blue cheese burger.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Llewelling Ranch offers up notions of crème de cassis, black pepper, cedar chest and dried herbs with touches of tilled earth, menthol and mossy bark. Big, rich and full-bodied, it has a firm, chewy texture, lively backbone and long, spicy finish. The Wine Advocate December 2017
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Lewelling Ranch is powerful, dense and also compact. This is an especially dark wine for the year, with plenty of muscle and depth. There is no shortage of intensity, but the 2014 comes across as raw and not fully put together. There is plenty of potential, even if the 2014 doesn't quite have the balance of the very best Hayfork Cabernets.Vinous August 2017
