2006 Tikal Jubilo Notable Press Summary

2006 Tikal Jubilo
92 Points
Robert Parker Jr's "The Wine Advocate",
December 2007
"The 2005 Jubilo is composed of 75% Cabenet Sauvignon and 25% Malbec and was aged for 12 months in 30% new French oak prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Purple/black in color, it offers a nose of wood smoke, vanilla, pencil lead, saddle leather, black currants and black cherry. Surprisingly light on its feet, the flavors already offer complexity as well as an elegant personality. It nicely conceals enough tannin to evolve for 5 - 7 years and should drink well through 2025. "

2005 Tikal Jubilo
91 Points
Wine Spectator,
November 2007
"Dense and chewy, but with creamy tannins that let the fig paste, coffee, spice cake and loam notes strut their stuff. Hints of dark cocoa and currant preserve chime in on the broad finish."

2004 Tikal Jubilo
91 Points
Wine Spectator,
November 2006
"Gushes with showy fruit, fig, currant, and plum along with exotic spice, incense, tar and licorice flavors. Yet stays focused and pure, with fine-grained tannins and well-integrated acidity maintaining its balance on the finish."
