2002 BenMarco V.M.S.: 90 Points. Very ripe, complex aromas of black raspberry, flowers, licorice, minerals, flints and tree bark. Penetrating and primary, with strong acids currently keeping the dried fruit, chocolate and tobacco flavors in check…broadened out nicely and revealed growing sweetness as it opened in the glass.

2002 BenMarco V.M.S.: 89 Points. Really round and ripe, with plum, blackberry and blueberry flavors, and a long, sweet finish. It's all kept fresh by fine acidity too. Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda and Syrah. Drink now through 2006. 700 cases made.
