This bright and brooding red blend shows the true potential of the Maule and Itata valleys.
Bright yet brooding. Up front, it is all fresh and expressive red berries. Then, on the palate, you find touches of herbs and cocoa. It finishes with bright cherry and vivacity.
It has the backbone for a pairing with grilled meats from lamb to steaks, but would shine with slow-cooked short ribs.
A fresh and lively red with ripe fruit and citrusy acidity. Medium body, pretty and vivid finish.James Suckling May 2016
The 2012 Facundo is a multi-grape, multi-location red blend from different valleys and grapes: Maule, Itata and Colchagua containing Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It mixes cool climate and warmer climate characteristics, herbal, riper, and more balsamic and earthy notes, quite complex. This wine was first produced in 2006, so it's already a classic of the newer Chile. A complex and powerful blend. The Wine Advocate October 2015
Bright violet. Spice- and mineral-accented dark fruits, pungent flowers and smoky minerals on the intensely perfumed nose. Juicy and sharply focused on the palate, offering concentrated blackberry and bitter cherry flavors that turn sweeter on the back half. The dark berry and floral notes resonate on a sappy, very long finish that's given shape by dusty, harmonious tannins. Definitely give this one some air if you plan on opening a bottle any time soon.Vinous February 2017
Offers a spicy aroma, with suave flavors of cherry tart, roasted plum, mint and white pepper. Plush midpalate, showing a rich, lip-smacking quality. Fresh and pure on the finish.Wine Spectator April 2015
