A red blend that shows the spirit and history of Itata – Chile’s oldest winemaking region.
Inviting on the nose with notes of ripe red fruit, blackberry, blueberry, and a hint of spice. It hits the palate with incredible balance that lasts through its long finish. It has fruit at the core with an acidity from the Carignan that lifts the wine on the back palate.
Pair with cherry-braised short ribs, barbequed flank steak, or grilled portobella mushrooms.
A fresh and clean wine with blackberry and blueberry aromas and flavor. Medium body, bright acidity and a long and pretty finish.James Suckling May 2016
BEST BUY. This is the third vintage of Bravado, made by winemakers Constanza Schwaderer and Felipe Garcia: It's a blend including carignan, petit verdot, syrah, carmenere, grenache, and mourvedre, all planted on granitic soils that, according to Garcia, give the firm, tense texture of its tannins. This is tight, with blackberry flavors and spice notes, and an accent on acidity. Tame it with a rib eye in a rich balsamic glaze.Wine & Spirits February, 2017
Inky purple. Powerful, highly perfumed aromas of ripe red and blue fruits, licorice and violet, enlivened by a peppery topnote. Stains the palate with sweet raspberry and boysenberry flavors that are given spine by a core of juicy acidity. Velvety tannins firm a long, smooth, mineral- and spice-tinged finish that shows very good focus and vibrant lift. There's exceptional value here.Vinous February 2017
