A blend of Malbec from different appellations in Mendoza. Amorio, or 'Love Affair' represents the deep and enduring feelings the Argentine people have toward the Malbec grape.
Aromas of smoky oak and cherry. Mouthwatering, penetrating flavors of ripe red and black cherries, red berries. Quite rich and velvety on the palate, and finishes with just enough grip to make it a real winner with food. This is some seriously sexy Malbec.
Pairs well with grilled or smoked meats such as beef, pork, and lamb. Also complements dishes prepared with cheese or cream sauces.
Dark ruby-red. Wild, meaty scents of black raspberry, blackberry pastille and licorice reminded me of Syrah. Densely packed and glossy but firm, conveying an utterly seamless texture to its savory blackberry, boysenberry and violet flavors. Finishes with smooth tannins, well-integrated acidity and subtle length.Vinous July 2017
Ripe blackberry, raisin, rubber and woodspice aromas are huge but not overly rich. This blend of Malbecs from multiple vineyards is firm and potent, with a palate that doesn't give. Oaky plum and berry flavors are bold, while this wine finishes tough, with chewy tannins.Wine Enthusiast May 2018
The blend of the 2014 Amorío is different, as it's mostly Malbec with some 15% Petit Verdot, going back to the original blend for this bottling, but also from their estate vineyards in Vista Flores on loamy-clay and sandy soils. It matured in oak barrels for 14 months. This is riper and also creamier, it feels rounder and with a lactic note. This is round and fleshy, tasty, with a soft texture, the Malbec clearly dominates the character of the blend. The Wine Advocate December 2016
