A rich and passionate ‘Love Affair’ between Argentina’s beloved Malbec & Cabernet Franc.
Aromas of smoky oak and cherry. Mouthwatering, penetrating flavors of ripe red and black cherries, red berries. Quite rich and velvety on the palate, and finishes with just enough grip to make it a real winner with food. This is some seriously sexy Malbec.
Pairs well with grilled or smoked meats such as beef, pork, and lamb. Also complements dishes prepared with cheese or cream sauces.
The 2012 Amorío, a wine that used to be pure Malbec, is now a blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Franc making it different from previous vintages. It has a good mix of Atlantic and Mediterranean characters, ripe cherries and some herbal aromas with tons of black peppercorns and develops the telltale violets with some air and time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with lively acidity mixing some earthy, graphite-like flavors with acidic strawberries that denote good balanceThe Wine Advocate August 2015
Bright medium ruby. Black cherry, licorice and sweet chocolatey oak on the nose. The strong oak element carries through on the intense palate, which features cassis, black cherry, bitter chocolate and licorice flavors accented by an herbal element. Finishes with tongue-dusting, oak-driven tannins that are supported by an edge of firm acidity and the wine's pungent chocolatey sweetness. This needs some time to calm down and harmonize in the bottle.Vinous March 2014
