Blended from the best lots of the 1928 estate vineyards, this iconic small-batch blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot is powerful yet smooth.
The aromas of dark cherries, plums and roasted cocoa come leaping out of the glass. This is a big but very suave wine with layers of ripe cherry, berry fruits, white pepper, mint, chocolate, caramel, smoke, and toast. There are loads of ripe, soft tannins, so this wine will certainly age beautifully for a decade or longer, but the temptation to drink it right away may be too much to resist.
Try with smoked meats and charcuterie.
A red with dark berry, forest floor and currants. Such purity. Full body, ultra-fine tannins and a purity of fruit that tells you how serious it is.James Suckling May 2015
The 2012 Unus is a blend of 65% Malbec, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot sourced from different subzones of Mendoza. It fermented in stainless steel and matured in barrel for around one year, in a mixture of new and second-use. Tasted next to some 2013s you immediately feel the ripeness of the vintage (which the wine clearly shows, as it should be), with more aromas of plums and dark cherries and plenty of spices. The palate is medium to full-bodied with the grapes nicely integrated. It feels very compact and serious. The Wine Advocate August 2015

Saturated ruby-red. Brooding aromas of cassis, black cherry, wild herbs, licorice, bitter chocolate and resin. Highly concentrated and tightly wound, showing very good violet lift to its youthfully forbidding flavors of inky black fruits. A sensation of mineral energy restrains the wine's sweetness. Finishes chewy and firmly tannic, with savory soil tones and a strong cocoa powder quality. This very promising blend calls for patience.Vinous February 2015
