An homage to the original Bordeaux blend of Malbec and Cabernet, this powerful wine has gripping tannins and great freshness and length.
Aromas of cassis with mint notes and oak. Medium-bodied and classically structured with good density. The Cabernet fruit melds seamlessly with the Malbec, creating a well-structured and balanced blend with moderate tannins and a lengthy finish.
This blend will pair well with any Cab-friendly dishes such as steak, pork, lamb, and strong cheeses. It can handle any dish with cream or butter sauces.
Bright medium ruby. Complex aromas of cassis, spicy herbs and mint. Concentrated, sweet and fine-grained, but with the Cabernet herbacity currently dominating the Malbec dark berries and chocolate. Conveys less easy sweetness than the 2013 Malbec but shows more lift and better oak integration. Spreads out nicely to saturate the palate on the lively, firmly tannic finish. I like this style.Vinous February 2015
Aromas of Asian spices, with flavors to match, along with lush fruit components that include roasted plum, raspberry tart and fig paste. Shows a peppery note on the zesty finish.Wine Spectator 2015
This red shows aromas of blueberries, candied cotton, milk chocolate and some mint. Medium to full-bodied with delicate, beautiful fruit. Malbec and cabernet sauvignon.James Suckling 2015
