Areyna marks a moment in time in the evolution of Cabernet in Luján de Cuyo – a historic winemaking region in modern evolution for the varietal.
The nose shows subtle aromas of fig, cassis, and dark fruits. The mouth feel is full and rich with notes of chocolate and spices. The finish shows finely grained tannins and bright acidity.
Pairs well with grilled pork tacos, stuffed peppers, and meatloaf.
Aromas of plums and sliced raw meat. Cloves, too. Medium body, round and juicy tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink now.James Suckling March 2019
Bright, dark red. Lovely violet lift to the aromas of cassis, baking spices and black pepper. Plush, savory Cabernet with inviting mid-palate sweetness and noteworthy intensity. Good saline depth and complexity to its dark raspberry and spice flavors, with sound framing acidity accentuating the wine's varietal character. Finishes savory, rich and expressive, with very good length. Cabernet Sauvignon is the focus of this winery. A terrific value at $15.Vinous July 2018
